He was born on February 1, 1965, in Ceyhan. In 1982, he started at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and, after completing his basic medical sciences education, was accepted to the University of Nantes Faculty of Medicine (France) in 1987. After receiving two years of clinical sciences training there, he graduated from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1989, earning the title of Medical Doctor.
